This poor little girl has VSD, rickets, and laryngomalacia. They are taking very special care of her. She has now returned to her orphanage and it is our hope that the orphanage will place her on the list of adoptable special needs children.

Update: February 2009

Chang DeRong is growing on her own, sleeping and eating to make her stronger. Dr. Frank is going to check her again in about a week as she had a heart problem.

Update: December 2008

Chang DeRong is a baby girl born October 25, 2008 who arrived at the Center on December 11 from the Siping orphanage. DeRong was found to have many medical issues for such a little one. So far, she has been diagnosed with VSD, rickets, and laryngomalacia. The nannies are taking very special care of her, and we hope to have her condition stable very soon.

As far as we know the orphanage has not sent her documents to the CCAA for inclusion on the special needs list. Once on the list she will only be available for adoption for the first two months on the list by families that already have a dossier logged in at the CCAA. After she is on the list for two months she is available to any couple to adopt even if they do not have a completed dossier. If you may be interested in adopting her we can check with the orphanage to see what the status is of her file and when it might go to the CCAA.

Please
Support the Siping
Fostercare Children

Would you please help support the children in our fostercare home in Siping, China.  It costs $280 per child per month to provide the medical care, food, diapers, and staff to give these children a chance to survive long enough to be adopted.  We don't expect everyone to provide complete sponsorship to one child so we offer you three options for monthly donations.  "Option A" is $28 per month (just 92 cents a day), "Option B" is $20 per month (just 65 cents a day), "Option C" is $10 per month (just 32 cents a day), or if you are feeling really crazy, I mean generous, today; we have "Option D" so you can provide 100% of a child's support per month.  We hope one of these will allow you to help these children.  They have no one else to look to for hope.

Thank you so much for your generous donation. Your donations are tax deductable.
