Chang DeYing arrived at our center suffering from cleft lip and palate and malnutrition. She weighted just a little over 7 pounds at 4 months old. Now she is a healthy baby ready for her cleft lip and palate surgery as soon as possible. The nannies at the Center enjoyed having her there but now understand it is time for her to return to her orphanage.

Update: February 2009

Chang DeYing is still the most alert child. She is able to relax much better now and the fear in her big eyes is going away day by day.

Update: December 2008

Chang DeYing is a baby girl born August 16, 2008 who arrived at the Center on December 11 from the Siping orphanage. Upon arrival, she was found to have a cleft lip and palate III degree and to be suffering from malnutrition. Once her condition is stable, and she has gained sufficient weight, we will be able to plan the first of her cleft repair surgeries.

Fostercare Children

Would you please help support the children in our fostercare home in Siping, China.  It costs $280 per child per month to provide the medical care, food, diapers, and staff to give these children a chance to survive long enough to be adopted.  We don't expect everyone to provide complete sponsorship to one child so we offer you three options for monthly donations.  "Option A" is $28 per month (just 92 cents a day), "Option B" is $20 per month (just 65 cents a day), "Option C" is $10 per month (just 32 cents a day), or if you are feeling really crazy, I mean generous, today; we have "Option D" so you can provide 100% of a child's support per month.  We hope one of these will allow you to help these children.  They have no one else to look to for hope.
