Update: October 2008

Zhang Qi is growing well and eating and sleeping well.
He has now gained enough weight that he can have
his cleft lip and palate surgery. In May he had a
few seizures and they started again a couple of
weeks ago. He has had a CT scan it indicated
some extra fluid around the brain. He is being
treated by the doctors and they are monitoring
his seizures very closely.

Most of the time QiQi is a very nice boy with a serious
face but a very sweet smile. His motor skills are slow
but he is working and improving.

His present development:

Height: 67cm Weight: 6.6 kg

I don't know if you are able to provide me with this information, but I just have to ask. I was a sponsor of Zhang Qi. The day he died, my daughter, who was adopted from China, was having major surgery. When I saw that he died, I didn't want to know anything more, but I think of him from time to time and wonder what happened. If you are allowed, will you please tell me what happened?

Fostercare Children

Would you please help support the children in our fostercare home in Siping, China.  It costs $280 per child per month to provide the medical care, food, diapers, and staff to give these children a chance to survive long enough to be adopted.  We don't expect everyone to provide complete sponsorship to one child so we offer you three options for monthly donations.  "Option A" is $28 per month (just 92 cents a day), "Option B" is $20 per month (just 65 cents a day), "Option C" is $10 per month (just 32 cents a day), or if you are feeling really crazy, I mean generous, today; we have "Option D" so you can provide 100% of a child's support per month.  We hope one of these will allow you to help these children.  They have no one else to look to for hope.
