Female
Malnourished
Siping Center
September 2009
YiLi came to the Center so malnourished that is hard to believe she is the same little girl. She has thrived at the Center and continues to make good progress.

Update: October 2011

Lili is still the pretty with her mouth closed tight from time to time, not much change of that. She is eating well, but has her bowel movements four to five times everyday without control, as a result of it, she does not gain more weight. And once in a while, she would run a fever for a couple of days but go away quickly. She is still only interacting with nannies, but not much respond towards the strangers. Her neck is still soft, even no much progress with the daily exercises, still she can not sit up by herself, with support she can sit up for a while, but not show much fond of it.

Height94cm

Weight10.8 cm

Update: September 2011

Lili is four years old on the 10th of this month. She is a very pretty little girl but she does not show her smile to any strangers, but gives her smiles to the nannies from time to time. Her neck is still soft, and weak, can not hold her head up well. We are doing the massage on her everyday, but the progress is not visible. We hope that by continuing to do the massage she will be helped. She can not chew well, and has more stomach troubles compared with the normal child.

She caught a stomach flu this month, ran a fever with diarrhoea, and has her first treatment of three days and then another five day treatment. Now she is almost recovered, but has lost weight.

Height94cm
Weight9.3 kg

Update: July 2011

Unfortunatley Lili has one of the more evident disabilities at this Center, but nevertheless her admiring personality traits still become noticeable to anyone who visits. She is great to be around, as she has a very easy-going and relaxed manner - creating a calm atmosphere. Her curiousity is also extremley remarkable, since she always tends to move to the areas that are filled with people or noises - never leaving out the opportunity of missing anything. Lili also loves to be around people, simply looking into the faces or holding someone's hand. Feeding Lili is a very enjoyable task, as she is a fantastic eater - making her one of the favorites amongst the nannies to feed.

Update: September 2009

Shui YiLi "LiLi" has changed a lot. She was always very introverted, and kept to herself so much. When we stayed at the orphanage during the construction at the Center, she was so upset at the change. She was very nervous and ill at ease. She kept close to the nannies and would go to no one else. When we arrived home and put her in the new playground, she smiled with great pleasure at nanny LeiLei and was so happy to be home.

Update: June 2009

Shui YiLi is our pretty little princess in pink. She is the best eater in the group! She will roll herself over, or pull herself along in her walker when she sees the nannies are feeding someone. She still has a problem holding her head up correctly. Her muscles tend to allow her head to drop from front to back. Her arms and legs are stiff and require massage every day. She has made progress recently, in that she can now hold a toy for a little while. Currently, her weight is 7.8kg; height is 79cm; head circumference 44cm; and chest 50cm.

Update: February 2009

Shui YiLi is more and more relaxed now; her lips are still tightening up, but not that hard. While she would not like to respond well to others, she loves to be with her little buddies and would cry for people when she was moving herself around without seeing anyone. She asks for attention and never likes to be alone.

Update: October 2008

It's hard to remember now what a skinny little baby YiLi was when we first saw her! She is a big eater now, she loves food, and always wants her tummy as full as possible! No one can stop her from eating until she has had her last bite of food, or she will scream! Once her tummy is full, she will play and play...finally satisfied. YiLi has very fair skin, and light colored hair. She still bites her lip, and it is not easy to coax a smile from her. We think she's just not ready.....we can wait.

YiLi's present development: height: 71cm weight: 7.2kg chest: 44cm head: 42cm

When I first saw this little girl she just touched me so. Her needs are actually on our Sn list.
Looking at all her photos from the time she got there to now looks amazing.
Is she currently available for adoption?

My husband and I are just starting to look into adoption seriously, so we have not gotten started with the process yet. I notice on this site that there are children shown for adoption and children just shown for sponsorship. Is it possible to adopt any of those that only show sponsorship? Looking at this little girl, she is absolutely precious (as are so many others on this site) and I wasn't sure if she was an adoption possibility or not.

Please
Support the Siping
Fostercare Children

Would you please help support the children in our fostercare home in Siping, China.  It costs $280 per child per month to provide the medical care, food, diapers, and staff to give these children a chance to survive long enough to be adopted.  We don't expect everyone to provide complete sponsorship to one child so we offer you three options for monthly donations.  "Option A" is $28 per month (just 92 cents a day), "Option B" is $20 per month (just 65 cents a day), "Option C" is $10 per month (just 32 cents a day), or if you are feeling really crazy, I mean generous, today; we have "Option D" so you can provide 100% of a child's support per month.  We hope one of these will allow you to help these children.  They have no one else to look to for hope.

Thank you so much for your generous donation. Your donations are tax deductable.
